Chickens dust bathing - Little Red Farmstead

Though we’re having unexpected gorgeous weather this week (70°F – what?!), autumn is still in full force. With having 20 maple trees in our front yard, we’re completely buried in leaves right now, so we’re working on our fall clean up while the weather is cooperative. The chickens are doing their part scratching, digging, and rolling in the dirt.

Of course, we took a pause to celebrate Halloween and do some trick-or-treating. This was Myles’ first time and he did a great job for such a little guy!

(Excuse all those shipping boxes on my dining room table… Christmas shopping has also officially started, hehe.)

Amanda lives with her family on a little red farmstead in northwestern Pennsylvania. By day she's a web developer specializing in WordPress and in her off time she enjoys working with goats and other livestock on the farm, canning, knitting, and crocheting.
